Mr. Heon Jang is a graduate of Medical College of Virginia Campus, Virginia Commonwealth University. Additionally, he has attended South Western University in the Philippines and Wonkang Health Science College in Korea. He served in the Korean Air Force as a medic contributing to the Air Force Military health and readiness and was discharged honorably after 30 months of service.
Heon has had eleven years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapy Practitioner focusing on orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. His academic and clinical training includes spinal manipulation throughout three semesters at Wonkang Health Science, and Functional Dry Needling over 100 hours for Pain Management and sports Injuries at Kinetacore Institute. His approach is unique in that he tries to focus on the origin of the clinical symptoms even for extremity overuse syndromes and acute injuries. This comes from his own treatment for the injuries he sustained while practicing martial arts and practicing manual therapy for diverse spinal patients.
Heon has practiced martial arts in Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Kendo, Boxing and has seen various martial arts associated injuries. He also has worked on diverse scoliosis patients helping them relieve pain and lead their lives at their full strength. He is currently working at Montgomery Sports Medicine Center, MD as a staff Physical Therapist and at Pain and Rehab Center, DC as a Clinical Director.
